Waking up with Richard...

I woke up to Richard Dawkins talking to John Humphrys on the Today programme. Richard was, as always, very polite and made perfect sense... of course just as he got going they ran out of time, John Humphrys said he'd love to continue but there was no time. I am sure that there wasn't anytime left, I'm sure that Mr Humphrys also didn't really want to continue an arguement he was to lose...

Other news, my father-in-law wants us to go to church when we go on holiday with him. I told my wife that I'm not, and don't want the children to go either. She wants to keep him happy, he is afterall paying for the holiday and has he has recently been diagnosed with cancer. What can you say to that?

I will not go to church, although I want to visit some old monastaries... and I'll let my children if they want to go to church or stay with Daddy... playing on the beach...

Ah well, it's the stuff I've got to live with...
